““Wanderings” encompasses more than the physical realm. Physically, I have traveled over half
the world following my father in his search for the perfect place on Earth. Many of us seek to
find peace outside of ourselves. Some of us get lost in the digital world attempting to fill the
common void from which we all seem to suffer. Our family wanderings coincidently taught me
where to look. These days I spend much of my time on an inward journey through meditation
and contemplation. Creating art is a contemplative act. I wonder how much of the result stems
from my offerings or rather an example of listening from a quiet space. In any case, I know I
have found my perfect place on Earth. I carry it with me wherever I happen to be. While I still
wander along footpaths beside rivers, creeks and up mountain sides, what I seek embraces me
with the joy of connection. Hug a tree, contemplate a leaf. Much remains hidden in the obvious
and the ordinary.”
